I get into very uninteresting food ruts sometimes. Lately I’ve been eating noochy toast every morning. It’s just whole wheat toast topped with vegan margarine and nutritional yeast. This morning I had it with blueberry soy yogurt and orange juice. Yum.
Lunch was definitely more interesting! I met up with some people at a new restaurant – Safari World Tapas Bar. We started with falafel, hummus and pita. Oh how I love falafel! Also, this was some of the best hummus I’ve ever put in my mouth.
Ahnah had falafel. Of course I had to try some – it was great.
Vaughan had a veggie stir-fry, which also looked delicious (sorry for the flash, the lighting was bad).
Bianca and I both had the tomato basil pasta. It was so good! It was definitely a good lunch.
Coming soon: more sweets!

Ahhh, I get stuck in boring breakfast as well … so you’re not alone :0)
Yummm that is ONE fantastic lunch, you have there! and YAY for vegan meet-up! Falafel and hummus is definitely a match in heaven! And oh, your tomato and basil pasta sure looks DAMN good to me!! SLURP!
I ate hummus and falafel yesterday too
. And I’m totally intrigued by your breakfast, it sounds good…
Oooh! I like your new template (I am a huge fan of white space). And I wondered if you are losing weight on this vegan diet? I don’t think that’s your prime motivation, but I wondered if it was a fun side effect?
what an awesome lunch! and also, congrats on the article, I would totally buy my wedding cake from you!
Sometimes I get stuck with boring breakfasts too, thats why I can always rely on leftovers. I think falafel is one of my favorite food because I’m like obsessed with chickpeas so your lunch looks so yummy!
I LOVE noochy toast and of course, falafel :]
When you really enjoy something, it’s not considered a rut is it?
Thanks for taking me again. I had a great time.
Wow. That falafel picture is killing me! Glad you got to partake in such tasty grub!
I love topless tapas. Never thought of vegan tapas, but yes!
That food was the bomb ass! Next time though, I’m getting the stir-fry cause I was a little jealous about all Vaughan’s veggies…I don’t think I’m gonna post my pics b/c mine turned out totally flash crappy.
Oh, and simple as it is, I’ve never thought to make noochy toast. It looks delicious. I like simple things for breakfast sometimes…
that pasta dish at the bottom looks really gooood.
