Raw food fun

Saturday our local veggie group, Food Awareness, got together at Vaughan’s house for a vegan potluck and viewing of Supercharge Me - a documentary about a woman who decided to go raw for 30 days. It was really good!

But first, Bianca of Vegan Crunk and I stopped off for some bubble tea! It’s not really tea, though. We got fruity drinks instead because they put milk in their tea drinks. We both got a taro, red bean and coconut drink with tapioca pearls. It was good, but pretty filling.

My pictures of the potluck didn’t really turn out as nice as Bianca’s, so go check out her post if you want to see some better ones! Here’s a pretty crappy shot of the whole table:

Here is a better shot of just one side of the table:

The pie at the top of the picture is a raw cheesecake made by Bianca – it was awesome! I was the only person to bring a non-raw food (sushi). I fail.

It was so fun, after the movie we got a chance to just hang out, drink wine and chat. I didn’t want to leave! Oh well, all good things must come to an end.

and if i were you, i wouldn’t rue making the sushi. based on the pics from biancas blog, i’d say that your sushi skills are quite amazing! :)

Hey, when did you get that bubble tea pic? In your car?

Dude, I don’t think your site showed up as recently updated in my blog link list. I didn’t realize you’d updated! Anyway, your food pics are not crappy!

And I can’t believe you haven’t washed your hair in a year (read it on ChowBella)…for real? It looks so clean and you don’t have dreadlocks…please explain.

You could have tried raw sushi! there are pretty interesting recipes in the internet… I envy you for having the opportunity of having such a good time while eating raw food!

Oh my! Sometimes I am really excited and happy that I moved to Europe…and other times, I am really sad. I doubt my abilities to get a raw food fun celebration party going anywhere in Brussels, but I can try.

The photos look great! Thanks for sharing the communal food fun.
