I haven’t uploaded the pictures of the wedding cake yet (they’re on the other camera), but I do have a picture of the birthday cake I made today.
It is three layers of vegan strawberry cake, with vegan ‘buttercream’ icing and a sun design on top. You can’t tell from the picture but the cake was freakin’ tall (about 6 inches).
I also made a dozen cupcakes of the same flavor to go along with the cake.
Now I’m really tired and want to take a nap, but instead I’m going to make myself stay up a bit longer and then go to bed at a more reasonable time. I’ll upload a picture of the wedding cake later – if any of them came out okay.

Wow.. I am soo impressed! I can’t decorate a cake no matter how hard I try (and I’ve tried!)
You made this yourself! I’m also very impressed! It’s so beautiful! It must have been A LOT of work.
Hey Steph. It looks as though your day of kitchen enslavement really paid off. What a work of art. I am sure the wedding cake is equally as beautiful.
I have never gone outside the comfort zone of two layer chocolate cakes and vegan avocado pies. Your work is stunning….and we would LOVE to have you come to Brussels!!
Your cake is beautiful! I’m so jealous of your mad skills!
Nope, you are DEFINITELY not a novice cake decorator!!!
Freakin wow! That looks so beautiful and delish! I need to take cake lessons from you.
I want one!
YES! Thank you, I needed some x-rated butter creme action.
So I take it your cake business is chugging right along, eh? Good job. Also, I love the artistic photo of the cupcakes. Cool beans!
Aww your parents are so sweet to open their door and their hearts to strays! My aunt is like that– she has four cats, all of whom were strays!
Those look amazing. Wish I could decorate cakes like that. PS I love the name of your blog!
Hey Steph. I was at Wal-Mart in West Memphis earlier and I stumbled on the fondant and cake decorating supplies in the craft section. I’d no idea they’d sell that stuff at Wal-Mart of all places! I got really excited about it…I think I want to learn….
