Boringness

We had not intended on making the trip to Texas until Thursday at the earliest, but Wednesday afternoon The Brit and I decided to just leave right then. That was at 3pm, and by 4pm we were on our way. We managed to find a Starbucks in backwoods Arkansas, and I said a little prayer of thanks to the god of double tall soy lattes. The rest of the trip was uneventful enough, and we got in to my grandparents’ house at around 12:30am.

I haven’t taken any pictures since we arrived, so I’ll just post a couple from before we left. I bought a box of Health is Wealth spring rolls on the recommendation of a friend and they were actually really tasty. The sauce you see there is SPICY tamarind sauce, which I love. I don’t think it so much loves me back, though.

And a picture of a boring dinner which I can’t help but love – pasta and roasted brussels sprouts. Yum.

More exciting stuff soon!

Wow. That pasta and brussels plats looks so good right now. I shouldn’t be hungry…I mean it’s like 11:45 p.m. and I’m about to go to bed. But damn, I want some of that!

I’m glad you made it safely back. Did you get to the Spiral Diner?

Hey, are you coming to the zombie march on Friday?! It’s gonna be so much fun. We’ll be leafleting, but more importantly, we’ll be eating brains and walking down South Main like zombies with lots of fake blood.
